Last week, we emphasized the importance of uncovering our foundational beliefs as the blueprint for embarking on new life chapters.
This week, we’ll take a look at starting meaningful new chapters, focusing not just on any new phases, but on those that hold significance for us personally.
At times, we are inspired by individuals whose experiences compel us to emulate them. We study their lives, adapt their strategies, and sometimes attempt to mirror their path for our development.
However, It’s important to acknowledge our individuality and diverse circumstances. Merely copying someone else’s path may not be suitable, as it might not align with our unique situation and needs.
We should regard 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲, not a rigid standard for our growth, understanding that each of us is distinct with our own journey to follow.
So, how then should we approach growth?
I’m glad you asked.
𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 should be grounded in two fundamental aspects: your 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 and your 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Today, we’ll examine values, and next week, we’ll explore direction.
Before you start on your growth journey, after having uncovered the foundational beliefs of your life, it’s important to reflect on your values.
For instance, if you admire a career-driven woman and decide to follow her path, but your higher value lies in family, you may find yourself unsatisfied with your career success if you don’t prioritize your family’s well-being as well.
Only when you address this imbalance by creating or fixing a system to support your family will you experience true fulfillment.
Similarly, if altruism is your top value but you pursue success without giving back, you’ll likely feel a persistent sense of emptiness, as something crucial will always seem missing.
Only by acknowledging this desire and intentionally making space for it can you find true fulfillment in your pursuit of success.
This is why many 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 despite being successful – because they 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
Today, I encourage you to pinpoint your values and clarify your core principles.
There are various methods to achieve this, but the approach I commonly use with my clients involves the following steps:
🌟Self-reflection capturing inspiring, significant, and ideal moments and people in your life
🌟Identifying recurring themes
🌟Selecting values that hold importance.
🌟Prioritizing these values
🌟Testing in hypothetical scenarios.
🌟Defining what they mean
🌟Continuously refining as you grow and evolve
Now, it’s your turn.
Reflect on the questions above to uncover your core values. This will pave the way for a meaningful journey of personal growth
Next week, we’ll explore direction.
Till then, Take time to reflect, and let’s talk next week
Praying for you and rooting for you.
You definitely can be all you were born to be
